I went through three new cards before I gave up the last one I deliberately held onto for a week after activation but didn't use it for anything, and within 5 minutes of updating in Amazon it got hit. ![]() I'm really surprised that they haven't figured out how to close this loophole, as it must be a pretty common vulnerability. ![]() I called the number on my card and told them the 3 charges by some outfit yesterday showing on line were not mine: -$1.00, +1.00, -$279-something. Somebody charged $0.48 and Chase refused it, locked the account and notified me. I got hit again yesterday and I'm getting another card. They're still having a problem based on my series of fraudulent charges and new cards. "the Chase card got fraudulently compromised at Amazon, and every time it got updated with a new one the scammer's wallet would update it too and it would get hit again."
